Hello everyone, my name is Carter, I've been wanting to get a turbo supra for sometime now, and just recently became the owner of this 89 Supra Turbo Targa. After getting the car home and everything, found 3 gaskets between the head and intake runners, 3 bolts holding on the exhaust manifold and head wasn't down like it was suppose to be. Other then that, its not a bad place to start.

Pros
-HKS Stopper HG
-It runs
-Its turbo
-Good suspension
-Everything works
-Has modds, Intake & full 3" Exhaust

Cons
-The "toyota tech" I got it off of, didn't torque the head down to spec
-Driver side door & Fender was molded
-Now has a mohogandy door :3d_frown:
-Interior doesn't match, Burgundy & Tan
-Wheels are painted a different color then the other side

To do list before mods (unless i find a really good deal:naughty
Un-mold the Driver door & Fender
Replace Oil Pan & Gasket
Maintenance anything that happens to go wrong

Now the fun part:biglaugh:
The goal is 400rwhp-500rwhp on a mild built 7m or better with the following bellow
.020 Pistons
Clevite Rod Bearings
ARP Rod Bolts
All new gaskets, including heat shielding gasket
Port & Polished Head
3 angle valve job
Polished runner and upper manifold to match
Q45 Throttle Body
*maybe a FFIM if i can find a deal:love:*
HKS Sports Turbo -needs rebuilt-
BIC DDP
550cc Injectors
Walbro 255lb Fuel Pump
AEM WideBand
Apexi Safc2
Apexi AVC-R
32x12x3 Intercooler

Other then that, I want the body to see as follows
Shine auto lip spoilers & whale tail
Euro Bumper lights
and find a good strut & spring combo

Then Dyno and see where i'm at.

Fair Warning, I'm sorry for the crappy pictures:nono: but thats all i got, but anyway here's the spare 7m from the mohogandy Supra I had.

But I did find out why that Supra never did run, 12 exhaust valves leaking & wrapped 10 thousandths:cry:. And after taking out most, if not all the tan interior out of the other supra, I found out why i'm glad i never did get it running.

Everything & I mean everything from the front clip was rusting out. Pulled carpet, seat would have fell through, truck rusted out, quarter panels where almost no more and i paid $800 for a paper weight... :cry: Live & learn i guess

But the good news my uncle claims that the bottom end is in good shape, the piston's don't move side to side or anything of the such. So atleast i got a starting point.

I guess the guy that i got it off of wasn't all that bad, It did have ARP Headbolts and a metal headgasket. But he claimed it'd run and the head wasn't wrapped also:3d_frown:

But that's what i got so far, I'll get better pictures when i can get around a good camera. Other then that, replacing the oil pan tomorrow if not the following day, took the hks off the car and will show the damage, asap.:kickinthenuts:

Its nice to see another ohio supra owner, we all should get together ya know

And as far as looks go, I want to get it back to where it was, while i'm building the motor and gettin the turbo rebuilt. The car runs now, and doesn't do a bad job at it, there's just little odds and ends that need taken care of.

After I have everything together, body parts and everything is when i'm painting it, which shouldn't be for a while but its all good.:icon_bigg

Well so far an update, I got pictures but can't upload right now lol

But anyway, I changed out my gaskets on the intake manifold. Come to find out, one of the grommets for the injectors, was split and wasn't in place. After inspection, 2-3 other grommets need replaced.

So to the dealership i go tomorrow, i got it fixed temporarily and it drives ALOT better

Well the news as of this week is, if i don't come up with the rest of the money to buy the guy off. He's claimin to take the car and keep the money:kickinthenuts:

So if i don't get around about 400-600 dollars, this project may come to an end. But not before I take a video of me beatin the hell out of him and or his girlfriend.

Because she seems to where the pants in the relationship:nono: This is words from his roomate, and is reliable.

But anyway here's a picture of the side that they decided to mold and paint the wheels gun metal

Getting trimmed LOL

picked out the fender and ready to put the other trim piece on as soon as i get the rest of the bondo out

I think i need a little two-way tape and a new clip

What I didn't get a picture of was the end product, I sanded & painted the driver side basically satin black, along with the rest of the trim. And came up with another paint outline for the car lol.
