Alright so guys, I found a place that can swap my NA engine for a turbo engine but Im not going to do that for another year or 2 just because I dont want to throw away a low mileage NA engine that has no problems yet lol. So what Im asking is I want to do this for the car:
2.5 inch piping and exhaust system
Apexi Intake
Shaftmasters Aluminum Drive Shaft

And thats all so can the intake and drive shaft carry over to the turbo model? I know the piping wont and Im fine with buying new piping in a year or 2 but Im just curious if the other 2 will carry over, I have a Manual 1987 NA if you were wondering, thanks!

Turbo intakes are infront of the turbo so no it will not work for an na....and a turbo ds will not fit into a w58n/a trans...do not pass go do not collect $200

Those parts you can always get later on. If I were you with this low mileage NA I'd work with making an intake the exhaust and if anything get a piggy back for tuning because so much can be made with tuning and you can even use if later on for a turbo set-up. :) If you plan on turboing the exhaust would work, but I would go bigger for more power if you decide to. Once you boost you can't go back haha

Or don't waist the money and save for turbo parts! Buy a turbo motor, take it to a good machine shop and rebuild it, buy a turbo trans, turbo clutch, turbo ecu, turbo everything and then swap...don't spend money modding your na as you won't gain any hp worth a damn!

well its not so much money *only a little* but I kindof want to both be out of my parents house and have my gf a car for herself by the time I do the swap and I guess a year and a half seems like the right time for that all to be done with, so it doesnt look like Im spending 2500 for a engine, tranny and swap just for fun....plus the engine only has like 68k on it so I kinda want to abuse it a little lol and get myself a legitamte excuse to swap it *BHG or Rodknock* ;)

With the way cars are selling right now just buy you a tubro 5 speed car and either drive it or swap all the parts over to your car.

haha well also look at it this way, I made a deal with my dad that if I stay in college he will keep paying my insurance long as I keep the car for a while, so right now im not paying auto insurance and getting myself a turbo supra will definetely=me paying lol so you know i just want to enjoy the free ride for the time being.....which is why when I do the swap I expect to be not living there....also because if I do the swap living with them I will be constantly dealing with flack from family for spending "unneeded money on some old car" lol plus I dont plan on telling when I do the swap ;)

If your really wanting to swap later go 3in exhaust now.Dont go aluminum driveshaft unless you plan on staying with w-58 like i did. Turbo and n/a afm's are different sizes so the filters use two different flanges so that would have to be changed later on.

If i were u i would go 3inch and intake and have fun with the car, i have already been down the buy two exhaust route, its cheaper to buy 1

Do exhaust and suspension. Those can swap over just fine.

Dont kill the na motor for fun if it's perfectly fine. If it's running well when you go do the swap you can sell it for at least a few hundred. Then put that in your piggy bank for when the new motor needs attention.

Why not spend the money on the rest of the car now and not worry about anything motor related? Work on your brakes, suspension and other up- keep type items on the car. That way when you do the motor swap you have a good platform for the motor to go into. No sense paying money for the intake and exhaust now that won't gain you anything really. Having all new brakes and suspension will make it feel like a whole new car now and all the better when you do the swap.

You could install a fuel controller now... you'll use it with the turbo and you can use it to squeeze out a whopping additional 2HP out of the N/A!

Seriously though, I'd do brakes and suspension first, then fueling upgrades (fuel controller, AFPR, injectors, fuel pump)... these can be used on the N/A and then on the turbo.

why swap in a mystery motor and trans? with only 68k for motor and trans go an NA-T and use the w58. it will cost you less than $1500. have any questions or doubts about it ask me.
