Carpet in my 87T 5sp is orig. and the heel pad has become unglued.
It looks like some type of white epoxy was used by the factory. In any case what type of glue could you use to anchor this back down? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Cheers,

I removed my '88's heel pad with easy outs. (The heads of the screws were rusty so that is where the easy-outs came in.)
IF we are talking about the same thing, the box on the left of the pedals?
On my '88 it was held in by screws, and no glue at all.

Btw, I once lived in Orlando, FL for two months. Say hi to all the folks for me.

use gorilla glue. (read the directions!) and place a brick on it until it sets.

Mine is too...

I usually drive barefoot ( when wearing sandals during the sommer) and the little plastic/rubber pad is peeling up!!!! OH NOEZZZZ!!!! :icon_surp

I am taking the carpet out soon anyways...no need for it...gets on my nerves.

I will just put some push buttons and glue them to the metal floorboard and get some maroon carpet pads from autozone and glue some buttons on them and snap them down...and take them out when I want to.....

seems like a good idea...heheheh :naughty:

this is my opinion of course, but your car is far too nice not to have a carpet. :(

well its not a show car...though it IS clean.....

But a roll cage and new seats are in the mix sometime soon. The rear seats are being deleted...

but ALL the interior panal trim up front is STAYING. the back trim will stay as well....but just....welll

the carpet is nice...but I will have to take it out ANYWAY to get the roll cage in.....LOL

we will see. Maybe I will just order a NEW carpet kit for it...that would be SWEET!

Leather carpet? Hmmmmm now thats an idea....would clean up easily and smell good....but would be slick to the feet.

j/k I know what your question was...hahahhh

Leather would be nice.

The seats I am thinking of will probably be WRAPPED in leather. Bride Brix 1st models with the grey gradation in the center and black or maroon leather trim for the bolsters....that would match the supra PERFECTLY think about it!

Or Recaro JDM Honda Type-R seats....the red ones then just buy the seat rails to match. And then get them re trimmed or just keep them red.....those are some of the most comfortable seats out there!

Don't remove your carpet, it looks horrible without it. Trust me on this one, my car has no carpet and it's at the top of my list of things to buy.
