carbon fiber intake

thinking about making a carbon fiber 4in intake for my car, dont like any of the ones that i have found, only need one fitting for pvc, wondered what u ppl think

My friend brandon had one on his mkiv at one time. Looked pretty cool, but lost it's shine quickly (probably from the heat).

Are you just talking about the intake from the filter to the turbo inlet, or doing the ic pipes as well? I thought about doing the IC pipes, well the ones that are in the engine bay anyway as they wouldn't reabsorb as much heat as the metal pipes would, and would look a lot cleaner than wrapping them with exhaust wrap. I'm not sure how they'd handle the pressure and the couplers.

Curious as to why ask something when it is your car?

On that note, I am not going to hold my breath as the heat resistant resin needed for that project alone.....if you have to ask, you can not afford it.
