Carbon fiber and paint

I found a good deal on a CF hood, but it has been primered by the previous owner. Is there a way to safely remove the primer to get back to the original CF look?

The only thing I can think of would be wet sanding very slowly and carefully and then getting the hood clear coated.

I think that would eb the best way also. or.. just get it paint matched to the rest of the car.
