All the instruments work and such, but when i turn the key all the way nothing happens, at all. nothing, no noises from the engine, nothing. Back when it started it was giving me code 11, but before i could fix it it ceased to start. Any thoughts or advice?
Thanks

Mine is doing the same thing. Been jacking with it all day. Everything works but the starter curcuit. The starter relay won't even click. Got power coming out of the switch but nothing to the relay. The starter will turn over if jumped with jumper wire. This friggin thing is driving me nuts. No power to terminal 50 on starter.

Friggin stumped.

Could be the Alarm has been tripped. It interrupts the starter relay so you can't steal the car. Re-lock and unlock both doors to see if you can reset the Alarm. I've had it happen several times on my 89. It seems the contacts in the doors are kind of troublesome. You can also roll it and pop the clutch (I see you have a 5-speed) and it will start that way if it is the alarm.

I am having the same exact problem on my recently purchased 88 Turbo. We can push it and pop the clutch and it starts. I am getting power to the relay, but the relay does not make noise. The switch on the clutch checks out good. No Power to the solenoid. I took the relay out of another car, just to make sure the relay was good.
This car cranked fine last night!
I am going to try and reset the alarm by doing the locks like someone else suggested.

Sounds to me like your alarm system. With my car, only way I can get in is through the passenger side to keep the alarm from going off. If the alarm goes off, when I get in to start it, there is full power but it won't start. Nothing at all. Try to set your alarm(if you even have one)...Let the light start blinking, then get in through the passenger side and try to start it.
That's what my fat butt has to do everytime now because my alarm is tripped. Good luck.

My problem was the small wire at the starter realy that goes to the alarm. I think it is a pink with orange trace--it goes to the factory alarm box under the driver's side dash and supplys the ever so needed ground to complete the starting relay curcuit. If you look at the starter relay wiring, there are two solid black and a black with white trace, these three are pretty thick, and then there is a small one that goes to alarm.

What I did was to find the pink with orange trace at the alarm box, ground it, hit the key, and whoop--there it is.

Hope this helps

Haha, yeah, me and 6 friends spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get it to start...real fun. Usually, I'm in a good enough of a neighborhood to just lock one door because it gets annoying...but I'll probably pay for it later when it gets broken into.:(

same problem here... how would i know if the alarm is tripped?
How to tell if your alarm is tripped...
While your alarm is set, unlock your driver side door, if the alarm goes off, it's tripped. Put your key in the ignition and turn the key, there should be full power but it won't make any sound of cranking over. Lock your doors and make sure your alarm is set again(Wait until the light on the dash starts blinking). Now enter in through your passenger side, open it and start your car. My car has this same problem along with several other people. It's pretty common.

well like i said before my car wont start, when i turn the key all of the dashbord things come on, all the gauges, heat works every thing works excpt theres nothing from the engine. not even a single click. just scilence. its probabally just wiring, but i havent had time to tear apart my dash and check. it may just be the ignition relay, but really i wouldnt know what to look for to see if the ignition system is working properly. im learning to fix cars as things break on mine.

Well...if you have music on, when you go to turn the key, does the music shut off while the key is on the "ON" position? I don't know man...it sounds just like your alarm is tripped. EXACTLY. Hope you figure it out..

Have you tried getting a jump start? That should tell you if it's the battery.

Have you tried push starting it if it's a manual? That will tell you if it's the starter circut / alarm / starter itself.
