So Yesterday morning I picked up my MK3 from the shop after getting my clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate replaced along with various gaskets and seals in that area. It drove perfectly fine until this afternoon the radio started shutting off on its own then turning back on at random times then after work tonight I went to start the car it started up fine then stalled out after the initial rev from starting the motor. It seems like it can't hold idle but when it stalls most of the time I have no power at all for a short period even my hazard lights didn't work. I reconnected the positive terminal and I had power again but it still would not hold idle and stall out immediately. I want to get some ideas from you guys so I can attack this thing quickly.

I just remembered I had a similar problem I don't know if someone of you remember but awhile back when I turned my key all power would shut off, found out it was my battery terminals I replaced them with new ones and cleaned up the wires and grounds then didn't have a problem. I should look into replacing the entire battery cables.

EDIT: Just checked for codes and it is throwing code 31, AFM wiring. I replaced my AFM recently because I was having trouble with mine and it ran perfectly fine until now. Should I replace the connector?

Tell me about reconnecting the battery cable. Was it unhooked or loose?

What does the sensor look like? Is it full of K&N oil?

Lesson of the day, never go full retard lol the connector didn't fully clip in and it wiggled itself halfway out. Pushed it in fully and no problems at all no more codes.
