my girlfriend wanted to know how many times it took him to hit it. Maybe someone could correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure that the gun (is it a gun? or a rocket launcher?) would find the target and hit aslong as the end was pointed in the general direction of the target

He was using a HEAT round, I believe. There shouldn't be any tracking devices on these things. I'm thinking they had a good special effects team.

Also: shooting live Machine gun ammo up like that creates a severe risk of injury/fatality further down the line as the rounds that miss come down. While a cool bit, the whole thing may have been staged.

I totaly agree

plus cars dont blow up when you shoot then with machine guns
and the bullet holes r to big it looked like it got shot with a .50 Cal
