Car Running too Cold

Hey guys,

Well I finally got my new prosport gauge installed and relized my water temp is way to low. I sit at around 170 cruising around town. My idle never drops below 1300 rpm due to it being in "enrichment mode".

Im currently running stock fan, broken fan shroud, stock radiator, 180 deg thermo.

Should I switch back to a stock thermostat? Any other ideas?

Read this thread. Some good info on thermostats and testing them before you install them. Your thermostat could be stuck open. I run 180F Super Stant in FL and reach normal operating temps no problem with the thermo needle at 3.5-4 Oclock.

yah ive been running 180 thermo for years now in florida and never had this problem. Recently I installed a new turbo, intercooler piping and water temp gauge but nothing that would effect the cooling system.
I'll replace the thermo with a stock one and get a new shroud, that should fix my problem
