Car not starting...wierd...

ok i finally got my manifold back (more updates on that later) hooked up everything, atleast it looks like. Went to crank it and it didnt do Anything...no cranking...nothing...
only thing i really did was extend Cruise control harness, installed a couple of guages and installed/wired a SAFC(2), im getting 10 volts from my battery...i think that should enough for cranking.

Any ideas?

Make sure you have the starter signal wire hooked up.

im pretty sure i plugged in that connector, but i'll check again and make sure its in good. Also i heard a click comming from the passenger side...but i think thats normal.

Also got a gas leak comming from FPR...might need to upgrade that...hehe

J: The click is a good sign. Means your circuit is getting power.

Is the factory alarm hooked up as in - if it went off you'd hear it?

well i had an aftermarket alarm in there...took that out and disabled the stock one (the ghetto way - cut the wire in hood latch) , it really didnt work.

You need to hook up a noid light, and have a friend try to turn the car over with the signal wire out of the starter. If the noid light, lights up, then its the connection or the starter.

90% of the time, its the poor connection between the signal wire and the poll on the starter.

i'll give it a try 2moro...i'll recheck my connections...the safc wiring shouldnt matter correct? or ecu wires for that matter.

The safc shouldn't matter on the mechanical/eletrical side of the starter. It will matter if you have the wrong AFM wires spliced though.

hmmm that may be a problem...i'll try to splice it back together and see if that makes a diff.

ok 1 problem solved...car started...10volts isnt enuff to start a car.
New Problem...Temp. Gauge acting wierd...goes a little under normal then when i rev it, it jumps down and freaks out...

Any ideas?

lol^^^ Check the connection at the thermostat housing, my just fell off when I touched it...so your's might be ready to do the same...
