when you press the clutch...you are essentially in neutral.

Were those eight people transmission techs, or just random wanna-be's? I'd say get it in a trans. shop, get second fixed, and go from there. Could be almost anything from a seized caliper with a warped rotor, seized wheel bearings, to broken teeth from the synchro/gear randomly catching in the trans. gears.

Find a real mechanic, and get some diagnostics done.

What is that in your avatar?

Is it a real hard jerk or just a slight one?
Mine had a real slight one and it was
because the throttle position sensor came loose and
would lose connection for a little. I wire tied it together and it dont do it
no more. Just my input, May not be your problem but its worth a try.

well first off half of those people were real mechanics. Others were friends are pretty good with engines. I have a used 120k 5speed tranny to swap that other tranny. But my other question is how much would this cost me the most if its not the tranny?
And my avatar is an integra or supra don't member which one with 4 tailights of a mk4 put together. Thought it was funny!

Trans swap isn't a big deal. I'd say $250, depending on your area. I'd get the flywheel resurfaced, and check/replace the clutch and pressure plate while your there.

As far as what it would cost to fix the problem if its not trans. related, no clue. Don't know what the problem is. I've seen broken diffs show similar symptoms, but they usually howl as well. Once you push in the clutch pedal, you remove the engine from the equation, so it must be something in the drive train or wheels. I'd definitely replace the trans. asap.

Where you gonna take the pigs? They fit in your Supra :biglaugh:

Yeah, mine was more like a wooden roller coaster going up the first hill. Very jerky. What I have learned with my supra, take your time with it and you will find out what is wrong with it. Plus, more stuff will keep popping up :D

i would check your engine/tranny / diff mounts and driveshaft before anything else. If these things are cocked at a bad angle when no power is being inputted the u joints might be try to turn at an angle they cannot turn at, which would cause all kinds of weird jerking and or vibrations.

I'm going to check my timing and cps first and if that doesnt work than I'm going to get an used jdm LSD with an aluminum drive shaft and my r154 tranny to c if that would fix it.

If not than ima have 2 sell it and I hope I can get at least 1600.
