Well just like the title says, my car has lost its snappyness so to speak.

Most of you know my mods, some dont:

-Full 3" dp, custom 3" elbow, 3" exhaust
-60-1 ct 26 with a Turbonetics rear housing, stock clip
-Ported exhaust mani
-Fully built engine, head yada yada
-Walbro pump
-R/c 440 injectors, balanced & flowed
-New fuel filter
-All -6 hard lines for fuel
-Stock IC
-2.5" hard pipes
-10psi boost
-No emissions
-Stock ecu, afm
-AFPR running 36psi @ idle with no vacuum hose

The response is flat. IT will boost up to 10 psi, and thats where I have it set (so as to not hit FC).

BUT ITS FLAT. No response at all. It just kinda goooooooooooeeeeeeeeessssss to 6k, not WHAM
!6k! like I remember.

Have I realy been out of my supra for that long or is this thing flat?

If so, what could cause this "flatness?"

I have a 2 solutions to your problem:

1. Buy a corolla... drive it around for 6 months.. get back in the scoopra... and enjoy.

or

2. Upgrade

So your not feeling the pull that you remember. Could be a # of things. If it has had the same gas in it for several months it could be old dead octain fuel. Fuel treatment, Toulene etc along with fresh high oct gas should do the trick. Also Check the timing see if its atleast 10 deg. May have a small boost leak causing your car to run rich robing it of power. Worn plugs or maybe the kickdown cable. Also try cleaning out the stock IC. I gained quite a bit of power (gauged by my SOTP meter) when I cleaned out my old stocker. These are a few of the things off the top of my head. Once those are checked out I would bump the boost up to 12-13psi.
Back out the screw on the AFM all the way out. This should give you a bit more room on FCO. About 14~lbs of boost actualy.

I had a similar problem. It got flat, wasn't near a snappy. On mine a knock sensor failed and the ECU pulled timing. Car ran fine but it was sluggish on its way up the RPM band. I swapped out one of the knock sensors for a new one and it ran normal again. Knock sensors rarely fail, but I have the kind of luck that mine did.

well, another thing it may be....turbo cars lose almost all "snappiness" when it gets hot outside....well, not all, but compared to fall, winter and early spring....in the summer, they just get "blah" which can be helped with upgraded intercooler and better cooling solutions, but overall, you're still sucking warmer, less dense air.... ya win some and you lose some...

that could be one of your problems

youre either used to it, or it could be an actual problem with the car.

check for boost leaks. i had a boost leak feel like it would pull timing until i then hit fuel cut prematurely. the whole time i thought the car felt slower and my friend just said i was used to it, turns out it was just a hose clamp that had failed.

Yes I have tried all of the above except the timing....

I'll go back and reset it.

The IC is perfectly clean: I had it professionally boiled and leak checked.

New plugs too...

Haven't found any boost leaks.

Could it be that Im used to a stock CT-26 and not the 60-1 with a turbonetics exhaust housing?
