This is a VERY VERY common problem among us non-turbos. It happened to me, and still is. I am currently fixing it though, as people do when they have a non-turbo. I think i know exactly what your problem is.

The car feels like slow at 3k RPM's right? And after like 4 it picks up.

Well if you want that fixed........

GO TURBO!

It is normal!

Though my car seems quick to me :aigo:

If im in like fourth gear at 3k RPM, and get on it without downshifting its not quick at all. thats normal.

If i downshift though.........well its still madd slow! ;)

Your car is normal!

That's just wrong..........funny as hell, but wrong..........:biglaugh:

I don't mean wrong as in the wrong suggestion, cause it probably is the right one, just wrong as in it's like pouring salt in an open wound.........lol

Good luck Toyotaxtreamteam!!!!!

::fundy:: I think you supra might be sick, better stop stroking your plenums and get the car fixed

Find out wich transmission it has in it and come back. you said 5 spd..., right, no? If it's automatic it sounds fine, relax.

with your car running rev the engine by hand at the throtle body and watch between the y pipe for a little lever to turn once the rpms get high enough. if nothing moves, its, well stuck.

its already doing that, it changes the intake runners for better power in both high and low end.
see if you can drive someones elses car(supra) and see if its the same?
did it just start or has it always been like that?

well with a turbo it will just be more noticeable, you still got nothing in the low end, untill the turbo spools.

and imo, a n/a will make more power than a turbo below 2500rpms.
