Your going to have to give more details...what psi, what rpm, does it happen only when you hit the gas, etc.....

Ah! Ok.

It's a 5-speed, stock driveshaft.

It's like this when i'm in first gear, I start up and let the car warm up some and when I pull off if I don't go into second real quick there seems to be a quick jerking to drop the RPMs and it's like this in traffic.

It's kinda weird but not sure what this could be??? It's kinda hard to do a slow simple drive off in first???

You wouldn't happen to be making gobs of horsepower would you? ;)

I think it almost sounds like a clutch/release problem if what your describing is accurate.

Sounds like... you suck at driving.

That's a pretty constructive suggestion..........but I assure you not!!!

The reason why I posted is, this just started happening like 2 weeks ago and I can't figure it out now??

i have an 87NA and know exactly what you're talking about. its really annoying and it makes it seem that we're REALLY bad drivers. it's done it to me even downshifting to second or it will randomly give it more gas in second. but the worst is the first gear problem. like you, i have no idea what the hell it is, so hopefully we can get some answers

My car did this stupid bucking/jerking thing for a while...got SUPER annoying...the problem ended up being a combination of a boost leak (throttle body coupler) and an intermittent CPS wiring problem (cutting out the connector and hardwiring the wires completely solved my issue.)

Have you changed your tranny fluid recently?

You might want to...

May I suggest Redline MT90!

I had similar problems, even though I'm a good driver, it doesn't even happen while I'm using the clutch, sounds like what you're describing! Changed the fluid, and it's definitely feeling alot better

My car seems to be a bit rough and bucks & jerks in first gear and soemtimes in second.

Any suggestions??

Well, after all this time it was a blown intake manifold gasket. Who woudda thunk it.

Thanks to Matt now Slow_SC3 for all his elbow work as we pulled the intake manifold off to get to the blown up gasket. New gasket and no more stalling at stop lights. :D

Hope this helps someone else now.
