I have an 1987 supra turbo auto, I've got a problem that I've been scratching my head at for quite some time now. I tested my tps and after trying to adjust it as per the tsrm I wasn't getting the correct readings. I removed the tps and ordered a new one from driftmotion now it arrived and I installed it with the .7mm feeler Gauge and rotated it until I got the deflection and tested it again. .5mm feeler gauge and I'm still getting the wrong readings now I've tried several different multimeters and feeler gauges tried adjusting the tps over and over again and nothing seems to correct the 5mm test. Now just a reference my readings from testing the brand new TPS.
No gap .6 kohm between VTA E2
5mm no continuity between IDL E2
.9mm gap needle stays at the 1k ohm mark between IDL E2
WOT 5k ohm between VTA E2
WOT 6k ohm between VC E2
I've read the Jsean guide on the install and the various tps adjustment threads on SM and cannot come up with a solution. Thanks for your time

Did you buy the right one for your car? There are two different types. With the TPS mounted on the throttle body, can you get go wide open throttle? Check it with the car off.

Double checked before I ordered updated version of the pre 89 TPS I've got the TPS and TB sitting on my table. As per my tests
WOT 5k ohm between VTA E2
WOT 6k ohm between VC E2 I am able to get wide open throttle (WOT). Is there a way to adjust the stop screw with the TB off the car? I also remember seeing
in another post the throttle isn't supposed to be completely closed?

.1K ohm .5mm between stop screw and lever and no continuity .9mm
Going to toss it back on and see how it goes.

Those are the correct readings, should be setup nicely.
