well my question is can you start a motor with no afm and a ecu that has been shipped and unplugged from a car for awhile?

i got what seemed like a sputter but didn't continue to fire, so could it be the injector clips are on wrong or the cps being out of tune?

LMAO that it does!

I remember forgetting to plug it back in after working on the car and driving around on LPG till it ran dry switching to Gas and NOTHING other than a nice idle ;)!

Very frustrating till I figured it out!

haha,
kinda like when my buddy couldnt figure why his car was running on 4 cylinders. Come to find out after 45min of looking another buddy came by grabbed the flathead screwdriver and pushed the injector clips in until they clicked.

My friend was like oh :eek:wned:

LMAO !!

yeah funny how the electricity can't jump that last mm or so!

Don't know how many times I've spent hours diagnosing a "problem" only to realise that the problem was me and the fact I'd forgotten to plug something in at the last connection!

i'm not about to go find out, but i find it VERY, very hard to believe that the car will run without an ECU...

It will, run, idle and run emergencyprogramme without AFK in, it will give you a code though and run really really rich.

At least my euro-supra did that, took 2 days before i took my act together to bother checking what the blinking of the engine lamp meant :p

alright you guys rock pretty quick replies too!

while, i work tonight but tomorrow i will be tackling my starting problem..

im gona pull the cps and make sure it's aligned right.

i'll check the injector plugs.

and i have the ecu, but it has not been in a running vehical for 2+months possibly longer, ..

i tried cranking the car to show my friends and i had forgotten to plug the ecu back in after skrewin with some thing, and it wouldn't even start.
plugged it back in and bam had cranking power again.

i'll post info up soon,
