Looks like the inside of the pulley was rubbing on something too..Perhaps that mounting bolt?

Boo. I don't think my AC works still. Perhaps I need to tighten the belt a bit more or I am low/out of R12.

My idle isn't affected when I press the AC button.

ur computer should idle the engine up when u press the AC button u might want to check and insure ur ac clutch is engaging when u press the button

R12 isn't hard to find. A lot of shops have it. It's just expensive.

One of mine flew off the car at like 40 mph. I didn't have the AC belt on and it just worked itself loose from the vibrations and one day... bang! clang clang clang!

I thought it was something that fell off my friend's car in front of me at first, but realized the pulley was missing a week later.
