Can you figure out what's wrong?

Took the car to the track and made a tuning pass.

If i set the boost to 20 PSI, I get blowby and my AEM WB goes to 10.0 through the entire 3rd gear pull.

Then I feel a loss of power and see smoke behind me. Okay been here done this.

I take it to the parking area and inspect the car, and see that oil has shot through the dipstick access leaving a large area wet with oil to include the manifold. Oh good blowby. Great!

There's no smoke while I'm driving and it pulls fine off boost, and even revs and idles perfect.

Even high RPM engine decelerations and I get no smoke.

Could a leaky valve cause this? I don't think it's the rings.

There is this slightly louder ticking in the head, but barely noticable.

I have the Catchcan with a filter to breathe.

I know it's possible to get too much gas into a car during the rebuild process, but it's been running fine, and seems to be getting better and better, and it has already 1000 miles on it. The car goes below 10.0 on the a/f during WOT's, but then again, so do some 1jz's stock.

Motor has about 1,500 miles on it. I did have 7qts. of oil but I've heard that it should be fine, but I'm wondering if I could have sloshed it around with the ground crunching, tire ripping, earth rotating reversing torque.

My next question is who think's it's the rings?

No suction line to the intake?

No suction line to the intake for the Catchcan system, it's where I used just the two holes on the valve covers to the can.

The lines I have on the intake pipe are for the ISV and idle I believe. It's just two.

100% your problem right there.

You MUST HAVE VACUUM ON THE ENGINE CRANK CASE.

Also, 7 qts is too much IMO.

I'll give that a shot. First thing tomorrow.

I could have swore that you can leave the vacuum off of it as long as you had a breather on the can somewhere.

Who was it that said that you can put up to 10 (or was it 12?) quarts of oil into the 7M without it even coming near the rotating assembly?

I believe JetJock said that, and I tend to believe him. Ive run 7qts at one point and experienced no issues

yikes,

she takes 5 right? 1/2 qt over to 1 qt over NO MORE!

running to much oil will cause airation of the oil, and now your just pushing air bubbles through your bearings..

may not happen at every day driving, but on long pulls and consistant high rpms.. it's a different story.
