Can I determine, if my ECU retards ignition timing?

I have strange problem: after I reset ECU - car accelerates and runs great! After some driving (few hours) - acceleration becomes much worse. =(
If I reset ECU - car flies again! Boost is the same (before and after reset), no error codes, AFRs are the same (acording to ZT2) - so I think, that ECU retards ignition for some reason and remember this. After reset it goes back to basic timing and car runs great... but not for long =(

Have you any suggestions, what is my problem?

Mod list: Lex+550, K&N FIPK, SS turbo, 8psi of boost. But described problem was on bone stock setup also...

No real easy way to check. Only thing I would suggest, is get some high octane gas, and see if the performance remains. Then switch to lower grade gas and see if it gets sluggish again. If it does, then yes it's probably pulling timing.

1) I'm not sure, if car really retards ignition
2) I dont think, it is detonation (not much boost, no audible pinging, rich AFR)

2 figgie: Yeah, you are right! Stupid ECU retarding timing, EGT rising, exhaust valves and turbo burn and... waaah another blown turbo/cracked manifold thread.. boohoo..
:p
PS: seriously, I'm asking how can I diagnose my problem?
PS2: I haven't EGT sensor yet, but I'll soon...
