I have come acrossed a free gte parts car with everything but ign/coil and cps, afm/ piping and turbo/ manif/ down pipe also the intake valvecover my ge died, and I came acrossed a lex. afm and 560 inj also 3 garrett ar t3's for free. i can get the manifold and ic piping for almost nothing and if the na stuff on the ignition will work just temporary i can get it back on the road by this week end and if it won't it'll be two more weeks until i can get the cps and stuff for a gte

jumbled post, but anyways...

it wont work for several reasons. first, the distributor for the ge will provide a lot of spark advance as opposed to the gte's system. that could nuke the motor when combined with the higher compression pistons.

also, the lexus afm wont work with the ge's computer. ge uses a flap door afm that outputs voltage, and the gte (lex) afm uses karmann-vortex that outputs frequency.

one way to make it work would be with a maf translator. speed-density comes to mind ;)
