Can anyone comfirm this 10 sec. run on stock rods

yep, can confirm he ran those times. i believe at the time he was putting out around 750hp.

didnt think he had stock rods tho, but uncertain about that part.

wow i was close! only off 21hp.

yeah are stock rods are awesome imo. guy i know x-ray'd them and they actually contain a small amount of titanium. compared them also to some performance brand v-8 rods from summit and our stock rods were actually better!

DB if you could post something about that, you would help so mnay people out with there builds. I actually know of a few people around my area doing the same thing (aftermarket pistons and stock rods) with there 2js and 1jzs,
not mention Duanes old setup.

its pretty well known the rods are definitley not the weak point of our engines...its the pistons...

i wouldnt be surprised to see some shot peened rods hold over 650hp all day every day....

I drove my car everywhere (when I had stock shot peened rods) 620RWHP and 651RWTQ. Nothing new about our rods being strong. In fact they are similar design to the 2J but longer.

They held on my car being stock for a few years and then the same rods I had shot peened and ran those for 2 years and sold the engine.

10's are no problem

Edit: although I have aftermarket rods now, I still do drive it everywhere. 6 hour trips etc...
