Camber question

I just had an alignment done tonight and the guys said that my camber is off a tad. I looked at the printout with the specs and the left front wheel's camber is -1.3 and spec is within -0.6 and 0.4. Also the left rear is just barely in spec at -0.8(spec being -0.8 to 0.3) I the last time I had an alignment done at the same place last year and they were able to bring it in spec. Is there a part that might be broken that would help out with this? Or did the guy that did it this time just not work hard enough?

So are you saying that they could not get it within the specs?? That is hard to believe, with the amount of adjustment available on our cars. Maybe the car has been damaged ?? bent ??

Its weird cause he said that the car lacks the ability to adjust camber. So I'm figuring that the guy that worked on my car didn't really know what he was doing.

yeah our rear suspention is compleatly adjustable. i would duck under the car and have a look to see if the adjusting cams on the control arms are maxed out.

Yeah, get your money back. your car is NOT a honda.
The supra is completely adjustable, rear toe, front toe, caster, front and rear camber. ALL ADJUSTABLE. by several full degrees.

i sat and did mine, i think he might not have wanted to take the time to undo the tie rods and other bits, mine took a good half hour of waiting after soaking them in penetrator before i could break them loose, so i'd say he might have tried and given up

I don't know if I will take it to another shop and have it done. Its only the driver side camber that is out and its not pulling to either side. And its not out by even a full degree. But toe and caster were adjusted and are in spec.

you may infact want to take it somewhere else and at least have it checked to make sure that it is infact what you think that it is. If this guy is that lazy or uneducated, he might not have even set up the equipment right. If the specs are what you think that they are from that print out then fine leave it as it is not far enough to cause significant wear problems, but atleast take it an have it double checked to make sure so that you dont wear out any tires to fast. it is far cheaper to have it fixed now then to have to buy a new tire or two or even a hole set for that matter if something is not as it seems, especially if you are running something bigger and of higher performance then stock.

I have to agree with everyone on this one from my own experience. They have great adjustment, I have mine done at the Toyota dealer. My 89 Supra is the first car I have ever owned that wore all 4 tires evenly from day one till the day I replaced them at 33k miles. I never even had to rotate them. This set of Goodyear F1's is looking the same perfect wear. Awesome suspension design, bad for tire makers.
