There are two Cam Position Sensors on the 1J and 2J. My Haltech ECU calls for one of them to be wired up. Now my question is... Is there any difference between the two cam position sensors? Should it make a difference which one I use? I didn't think so but as of right now, my car turns over but does not start. The issue could be unrelated but I want to make sure.

His car is up and running right? Yes that does help me out a bit. That is the same one I am hooked up to right now. That tells me that it probably isn't the issue I'm looking for. Still wondering if there is any difference between the two? Wait. Doesn't the AEM unit hook right up to the stock harness? If so, wouldn't he still be using both of them?

use only the rear sensor for the ECU dont quote me on this but i think the front cam sensor maybe for the knock sensing part of the computer it maybe a seperate rpm signal and let the ECU know where things are i believe the ECU splits the efi and knock circuite i am still looking into this.

So later down the road if you get a standalone knock computer you can use the front cam sensor.
