I just finished a BHG repair on my 87 turbo, and did something realy stupid. pushed the car out of the garage to clean under it and when i pushed it back in ran over the conector to the CPS on my wiring harness. I tried to cut and splice the wireing harness directly to the cps (cut off both plastic connectors) and went to splice it back together a few days later. This is when i realized that the 4 wires on the harness and the 4 wires on the sensor were different colors. The harnes has a red/orange, a yelowish/orange, a black and a greenish black wire. and the CPS has a white, a red, a yellow, and a greenish wire. i put it back how i thought it went and i have a very intermitent spark. the starter cranks the motor over but it doesnt run. i get a spark every 10 seconds-ish on my number 6 wire. any idea as to whats wrong. i bought a new wiring harness and hope this will correct it, but the harness wont be here for 2 weeks and id like to get her back running before then. is my cps, or my ignitor bad, or did i just wire it wrong. and if i did wire it wrong would that hurt my CPS or ignitor at all? Any imput is greatly apreciated. Thanks. And if you know of any parts that i may need because of this that you'd like to sell, e-mail me at specializeds_works@hotmail.com with any offers.
