assuming you are talking about your engine modifications, any aftermarket parts that are not CARB exempt, prepare to pay a 350$ ticket, along with a trip to the state smog ref, which requires EVERYTHING on your car to be stock, and on top of that, if your car is not running well, they will run your car in 3rd gear at 15mph, and 4th gear at 25mph to bog your motor.

Not fun.

IIRC that's only if it's not your first offense.

One of the few reasons I LOVE Alabama. No SMOG.

My sister lives out there, but she drives a bone stock car.

You should be able to call the DMV and ask the same question.

I believe first offense is just payment for getting the inspection done.
Check the cali website.

i heard there was no inspection involved, so basiclly they just write you a ticket for 75 dollars and once you pay it your off the hook. the 2nd offence is doubled and so on. ????????????????????????????????????? anybody know the chp site?
