calculating oil full capacity with modded oil system

As stated, how do you go about calculating it... I think mine is overful at 8 quarts.

I have a 1 quart FL1A ford style filter (pure 1 actually.) a B&M race Supercooler, and 7 Foot of 10AN hose, along with a B&M thermostat. I ran 6 quarts before doing this, so I would still like to stay 1 quart over...

Any advice?

fill the filter with oil, fill the cooler as much as you can and fill the motor thru the oil filler cap.

check the level.

pull the efi fuse and crank the motor until you have oil pressure and check the level again.

fill as needed. thats that i usually do...

but doesn't the oil drain from the lines when you aren't running it?

It does from the channels inside the block from the head...it's a nominal amount. The oil inside the lines to the cooler and the cooler itself usually stays put.
