hey everyone, i hope someone can help me out..

i have made myself a ffim and the only thing im not to sure about is how to make the idle valve control, i was looking at my stock one and was thinking i can just cut out the flange and weld it into the new manifold but then i noticed there is a port that runs to in and a line that runs out, i know it can be done since i have seen many people on here with them,

please help me out, i am now going to do some more searching hoping to find a thread with some info

thanks a lot to anyone who can help

I believe what you are talking about are coolant lines. You can easily bypass those if you want.... there is a diagram on how to do it. I will do some searching and post the link. I guess from there you could just weld the flange but I am not sure since I have never done it before... :icon_neut

i am not talking about the coolant line, those i know i can bypass but if you actualy take off the valve you can see what i mean, there is a air passage in and out and it looks like a plate where the diaphram sits on, so what i need to know is can i just cut out the whole piece its hard to explain i will try to get a picture of it today... im just at work now and cant get to it....

The passageway for air that enters the manifold through the ISCV? It runs through the passage right up to behind the throttle body, my guess is so the air is right in the middle of the manifold like air would normally enter >idle. Or so it has an even supply of air for all cylindars.

Weld the stock flange (the whole piece) on the plenum after the TB.

Make sure that the air hose to the ISC is after the AFM but before the TB.

thanks a lot... so i just take the whole thing and does it matter where on the manifold it goes?
