Bubbling Radiator hose

I have a 1JZ swap single setup with a problem that I think has an easy solution but I wanted to bounce it of some of you. I have a stock radiator w/hyro fan. My car is not overheating according to the dash gauge which is registering in the normal range. I don't have any coolant overflow bottle abnormalities (too much, too little) no leaks or loss of fluid. Everything seems really normal but when I shut the car off and it sits for about 1 - 2 minutes the top radiator hose starts bubbling inside. You can hear it and feel it when you touch the top hose. My daily driver Camry did the same thing and I just replaced the radiator cap and it went away so I'm hoping for the same thing here.

1) Does anyone know what radiator cap fits the stock radiator? I searched for a part number on here and the only thread I found was for a Koyo radiator not the stocker.

2) Do you think this will solve the problem or do you have any experience like this where your solution may help me figure this out?

Just take cap into a parts store, get one thats the same pressure. Its a pretty generic part iirc.

The cap is cheap, so might as well try it. After your done, make sure to "burp" the system.

OK, thanks. I'll try the burping thing too if the cap doesn't work. I had read of this before but the way it's written I took it as a way to remove air from your heater core if you were hearing the noise under the dash. I don't have that problem but if I get out of the car and walk to the front of it you can here it bubbling away in the upper RAD hose.:icon_mad:
