I have a local transmission rebuilder who happens to be a good friend. He's done work for me on my A430, so I can say his work is top notch.

After talking to PSIFactor, I decided to call him about getting her & my R154 overhauled. For a single tranny, he'll charge $300 for the benchwork. For hers & mine, $250 each. I asked him about 5 or more, he said that he would have to think about it, but it would probably be around $200 each. One caveat, sort of, you have to bring your tranny in, this cost doesn't cover removal & installation.

I know that Jon (MDCMotorsports) sells a rebuild set for them for $225 apiece. I wonder what kind of deal Jon can come up with. :biglaugh:

Seriously though, $475 will make me extremely happy, but I'm all for more savings....

Not sure what kind of deal I can work on, but surely if 10 or more were purchased I could get the price down some.

I do have a thrust washer solution that an associate of mine is testing and developing.

He did mine last year. I think I paid $550 or so total for it. I won't say that it was a level 10 job because I still had a stock (refurb'd though) torque converter, but it was freakin stout. I hope Sirus enjoys it. :biglaugh:

BTW, I just checked about the bracket, it hasn't been mailed yet. :nono: I will mail it myself tomorrow. I apologize for the delay, I have been relying on a person to do it for me.
