My car has always seemed to have finky brakes. I got in the habbit of pumping them to stop and its never been a big problem. I could stop without pumping them pretty good but it just doesn't feel as stiff.

I changed my front pads today(i've done this many times on numerous cars) and it seems that the problem has gotten worse. Brake fluid is full, and i bled the fronts and still nothing. It doesn't look like it is leaking anywhere.

What could be the prob?

check your vac line to the brake booster as well. mine was loose once and it did that. other than that it doesnt make much sense unless your hard lines are messed up.

I just did the back calipers and still nothing.
basically i learned to bleed brakes online and i wasn't aware that there was more than one place to bleed them from per wheel.
I'll check everything mentioned. Thx.

One more thing, I noticed new the pads rubbing pretty good and i'm just taking a guess that it's not supposed to be like that.

They'll rub a little till you get the car on the ground and make a stop or two.

Just a guess here, but I believe thats called "bedding". Either way, I was taught that after changing rotors/pads you should check them at low speeds first, then "bed" them by making very hard stops from ~40-50 mph.

I'm no expert, but that's what I've been told.

And I had the brake to the floor problem the first time I did a brake job. I just needed to keep bleeding them. Like they said, start with the rear pass, then move closer to the reservoir, making sure you FULLY bleed each line.

Since then, I've done a handful of pad/rotor changes and had no problems. :)
