The brakes on our 90T are getting pretty bad. I've been thinking about doing the wheel bearings while i'm there. For rotors... I wann get drilled and slotted rotors any suggestions on which brand and where to get them? I also wanna do SS braided brake lines all around. What kind of brake pads should I run?

for brake lines i bought earl's (driftmotion also sells that but i did not buy mine from them, 100$)
i hear good things about axxis pads
or you could always go the cadmium plated way and buy the brake package suprastore offers (if (you don't know cadmium prevents rust )

Porterfield carbon/kevlar pads. They are suppose to feel like OEM brake pads but have higher performance than OEM. I have heard from a Toyota engineer that the carbon pads are noisy, at least the TRD ones.
You can also go to ceramic pads. The cermic pads are suppose to last a long time and leave very little brake dust. I have heard that they don't feel like OEM. I've never used it so I can only tell you what someone who has tested different pads told me.

i had ceramics on my Corvette, hated them. they sucked. I did go to a fully metallic set that were noisy and crappy when cold, but VERY good when warmed up. ... I was AutoX' at the time with the car. I'll probly just end up at Napa or somin getin OEM pads.
I've used metalmaster (I think that was the name) semi-metalic pads before on my Mustang. They were wouldn't stop the car when cold. When they warmed up, they were OK.

VW made the rear brake disc and pads way too small for the vehicle. I'm going with Porterfields now, but if that doesn't last, I'm considering ceramics. Then if they don't work, I guess it BBK $$$.

My experience was not good with them, they didn't stop the car good. not sure why.. just didn't. I won't use ceramics. After going over the finances etc I think I"m just gonna do the brakes OEM. Hit up napa for the rotors and pads... do what needs done and make sure it's all within spec and flush it dang good with syn dot 4 valvoline fluid. call it good. save some money.

metal masters are pretty good pads.. the first stop in the morning is noticibly weaker then the rest... but yea.. they work well... being metal pads they will eat your rotors (although at a pretty reasonable rate)
Ever tried EBC greenstuff or yellowstuff pads? I ran EBC greenstuff pads on my BMW and LOVED them... almost NO dust, worked perfect when cold AND silent... perfect pad for my application...
Never tried EBC.
I'm real easy on brakes. They last over 100k miles easily.
My wife's hard on brakes. I usually use metalic pads. But since the carbon ones are so affordable these days, I thought I'd try them out.
I got cryo'd discs and custom Porterfield R4S pads for my wife's VW. It ran me about $650 for all 4 corners. The dics were machined from a blank and slotted. They ran under $100 each. The pads ran be over $250 for all 4. But I figure its cheaper in the long run than the $450 I pay'd VW to do them. And they didn't even put it together right.
