First of all i wanna appologize for making another one of these threads, but i just cant seem to make an answer for myself reading the threads.

I'm gettin 4 brembo blanks.

What kind of pads should i get? I just seem to be overwhelmed with the different types and brands and reviews that i just can't make a decision.
EBC a good choice? What's with all the colors?
I'm probably gonna order it all from that site.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks.

another vote for the porterfield r4s, i love mine. well worth it! however, i plan on switching drilled/slotted rotors for cryo'd powerslots from a2 sometime (probably when cracks start to show from the drilled holes). i was a dumbass and got the rotors right after i got the car, didn't know better :(

Im using Porterfield r4s in the fronts and EBC Green Stuff in the rear.

I had EBC Green Stuff up front prior to the Porterfields r4s.

The Porterfield r4s dust much less then the EBC's.

Pads are on Powerslot rotors.

I run Brembo rotors with Akebono Ceramic pads all around. They are a very good design as far as I can tell. The pad material is not black, so it doesn't make your wheels dirty as fast when you're using the brakes a lot.

My powerslot slotted rotors have PBR Ultimate Ceramic Pads... The PBR's dust quite a bit, but they are almost impossible to fade on the street/highway. Their performance at both stone cold and smoking hot is consistent and reliable... they always stop.

I would recommend them if you don't mind wiping your rims off once and a while.

Remember to properly break the pads in or they won't work to their full potential...

I almost got pulled over when I was breaking mine in. I was out at like 4am still dark, figure that would be the safest time. I was doing my slow speed stops around the neighborhood. As I worked up to higher speed stops with longer stretches I had a cop come with in inches of my bumper. He must had figured I was drunk or something.

I had my break in procedure paper and brake receipts all lined up as proof Im not crazy lol.

PBR ultimate ceramics are a good choice for everyday driving which is what 90 percent of you guys do anyways. I wouldent recomend ebc yellowstuff, but their greenstuff I would. They dont last long but produce very little dust and stop very well.

for the price though PBR ceramics work very well.

also check out my OP parts rotors if your looking so save some money, they are as good as the brembo's IMHO and they have a anti rust coating on the hats so you dont get that ugly rust formation

I've got Brembo blanks with R4s' I believe(Did my brakes almost 3 years ago.)
They dust, Alot. I've got white wheels and they're gray in 2 weeks. They also squeek during light braking. But they do stop very well.

No there's almost an 1/8th inch of dust all around the lip and spokes, They look dirty after a day or two, but people ask why my front wheels are charcoal and don't match the rears after a week or two. And I only drive about 100 miles a week.

Brembo blanks/porterfield pads/ss brake lines. Really stops the car well. I don't see any reason to get slotted rotors unless you are racing. I think they eat the pads faster and produce more dust. I do get some light dust after a coupla days of driving, most of it on the front wheels, very little on the rears. The SS did make a noticeable difference in braking - I put those on a coupla months after the rotors/pads.
