Hey Guys. What are the different brake mod's that we can do on our cars. How much work is involved to install the Forth Generation supra brakes and can it be done?

The stock brakes are really good, if in proper working condition. If they haven't been overhauled in recent years, don't expect much out of them. Especially the slider pins are prone to seizing, leaving you with crappy braking. A complete overhaul and brake fluid change will make a night and day difference for next to no money.

If you want more, than go with one of the better carbon brake pads for higher friction and better high heat characteristics. But you also need really good tires first, since really that is the most limiting factor on how fast you can stop.

If you race and the overhauled brakes are still not good enough even with good brake pads (overheating after some beating), then you may want to start looking into "big brake" kits:

MKIV brakes are very difficult to retrofit on the front, fairly easy on the rear, but you gotta watch your brake balance when randomly swapping stuff around.

Thanks. All of my brakes on the car are all brand new, from the calipers all the way to the master cylinder. I just watched that stupid Tuner Transformation show and saw them four piston calipers and it got me thinking.

mk4 rotors have a smaller inner diameter for the hub than mk3 rotors. i believe someone on here was posting about 350z rotors being a direct fit. as for calipers, i havnt heard of anyone running mk4 calipers. the few that have adapted stuff i know about use 300zx calipers on a custom bracket.

I would love to make LED light basically like stock, with a gridwork of small LEDs that I can program.

Like on the left side say "TOO" and the right say "SLOW" with the flip of a little switch if someone behind me tries to race me and fails :) Would be cool to program a bunch of little phrases in there... FU comes to mind too....

MKIV rotors have a larger pilot hole (MKIII= 60mm and MKIV=62mm). As for the "Z" parts, I haven't heard about the rotors being a direct fit, but I guess possible. Yes there is an adapter out there for the 300zx calipers and IIRC, using a MKIV TT rotor. The stock MKIV TT rears can be adapted to the rear of the MKIII also.

A number of things can be adapted if you are willing to do the work.
