Im stuck right now...

After getting all the parts, gaskets and rebuilt stuff together we are trying to install the turbo...

The flange I got from MDC does not seem to fit.... I have seen many of the folks here buy them and rave about them...

HOW DID YOU MAKE THEM FIT? Mine directly hits the snail and wont even seat. Not to mention the nut wont fit on the flange.

There has to be a way without machining my turbo and then machining the nut.

Help me out guys please.

Take some pics showing how it doesn't fit.

Well the pics are on my website www.joncjennings.com under 91 supra.
I spent most of the afternoon trying different things but there is oddness you cant get the flange on the turbo at all while the hose is mounted... I cant imagine gettin the hose on AFTER mounting the flange.

I can see that my studs could be cut possibly but that opens up other issues. The feed hose holds the flange up at least an 8th of an inch or more..

If better pictures are needed I can try to get more...

This just stopped us cold and we were having a blast until this...

I come from a land down under
I'm a bit surprised one of the CT guys hasn't jumped in yet with a suggestion Jon!

Can you crank the inlet fitting away from the Comp cover a touch if the stud is trimmed?
(I'd be inclined to pull the stud and replace it with a bolt)

I bought one of the JBL oil line kits off of another forum member, and it looks quite a bit different than yours. The line that is hitting the stud, comes almost straight out of the flange, and had no clearance issues at all. That is weird yours doesn't fit.:aigo: I would go back to the source (MDC MS) he should be able to help you.

I have no idea how to make this work... The line goes right into the snail... I could bend the line but I dont want to mess it up.
