BOV question

Okay when I was running the stock turbo I could rev it up and the dump off would be REALLY loud and driving it would be really loud when I let off (stock turbo with BC at like 15 PSI). I just got a new setup with different exhaust manifold, T66 turbo and 50MM wastegate. For some odd reason now the BOV BARELY lets off anything while reving and the slide barely moves. While driving I can't hear it go off but that might be because of the open wastegate that gets loud after 4 grand when the turbo is in full spool. Why with this new setup is my BOV not working? Or is it but I cant hear it at high RPM because of the wastegate and no boost at reving because its a bigger turbo and needs to spool up?? I think I would still hear it over the open wastegate but maybe not whats goin on??

Before I recirculated the wastegate on my sentra, i could never hear the BOV over the dump of the wastegate. As soon as I recirced the wg, the bov came across just fine. Also, you're correct about the larger turbo, you will make less pressure without engine load, so the bov won't release as much air.

for the bov to sound off, there must be boost in the charge pipes.
with a big turbo, it takes longer to spool it up.

if that makes sense?
