I was wondering what is the lowest pressure a BOV should release at?
I have a turbo XS BOV on my 7mgte and it will open at as little as 5 pounds of Vacuum. Way before it even hits on pound of boost... Is this normal or should I adjust the spring stiffness?

Any insight would be great thanks!

A bov will open whenever you let off the gas depending on adjustment. But if its opening at 5in/hg then you should probably tighten it up to open at 10in/hg or so.

My gauge does not read in (in of mercury) what is 10in/hg in PSI?

The bovs opening is determined by vaccum of intake manifold, not system psi. if it was you wouldnt be able to boost b/c the bov would stay open. you need to research more on how these things work.
when you lift throttle, you create vaccum in the intake manifold, that vaccum is what opens the bov. you cant measure vaccum in psi, it would be a negative number and it just doesnt work. we measure vaccum in in/hg. All boost gauges measure this, its everything below 0psi. Even the factory boost gauge does, however inaccurate it may be.

Edit: dont feel too stupid, many people dont even know they can/should adjust when the bov opens.
