BOV leak symptoms

Hey would a leaking BOV cause the same issues as a vacuum leak. I have the HKS SSQV and started running like crap after putting on the recirculation. Not that it has gotten cold around here the car runs pretty good except at idle it misses as if there is a vacuum leak but its stays around 700rpm and dosn't dies. Runs good under boost if I feed the throttle in ( can't just hop on it, especially when trying to down shift to overtake someone). I've tested it with 3 other AFM ( I was getting a code 31). The original and the 3rd I have are good.

so let me get this straight... you put the hks bov with the recirculation fitting and it misses at idle? what exactly are the symptoms? does it die after you let off the throttle?

When it was venting to the atmosphere it would die if I let off the gas. The day after I put the recirculation on it started to miss at idle and if I was driving slow. When the boost builds up it runs fine. I also changed out the afm and it does run better than before. It seems like a vacuum leak

have you checked the plugs, wires and coils?

No I have not. A technician at my job told me to check them as well but I never got around to it. Thanks, Will check them asap and give an update
