I just purchased a Mark 1 mr2 NA AUTO

A fellow co worker was using this for there daily driver and mentioned that he thought he blew motor claimed he washed that car and now it sounds like crap.

Went to test drive realized it was misfiring gave him $150 for and drove it home on 2 cylinders. Removed the spark plugs and spotted some water in the spark plug valley Spent like 40 bucks on spark plugs wires and oil car drives fine other then a nasty exhaust leak.

It has 130,000 miles on it

I started to primer the front end it had some nasty sun spots on it.

Over all I'm happy with my purchase it has t-tops and drives like a gokart.

damn, I would have paid $150 for it, even having to do those minor repairs!!! I just spent $150 the other night on a beagle...I'd rather have gotten an MR2. Those don't piss on your floor (although my 8 month old beagle hasn't done that yet after 3 days now...he's a good boy.)

Nice find, bro! Aren't bargains great?

Ive driven NA auto MR2's hella slow, hahaha

Oh yeah its hella slow right now and that exhaust leak isn't helping either I'm considering a 5 speed swap I still don't know If I plan on keeping this too long probably just slap a header on it to fix the leak.

Great find. I wish i had an MR2. And don't let the AT bug you too much. Even with a 5 speed, those cars aren't very fast. They are designed to be fun to drive, and they do pretty good in that regard. One doesn't need to be haulin a** all the time

sorry to say, but that is sad... you ripped a co-worker off when you could have helped him fix a simple problem... it is sad the people that get riped off... I don't care your justice saying he should have taken it to a mechanic ect ect... hell I don't even know cars that well and washed engine, then car acted up, help the guy out, don't steal his DD... my 2 cents

if someone posts an ad online for a car for sale with mechanic problems, in my eyes that is fine, as they are fed up with it and want it gone, don't care to fix it, but it seems like you saw him in need, you realized the problem, then kicked in his knees and basically ripped him off... if he was selling it and has another car ect ect that is fine, but to take advantage of someone who is not as smart as you, I find that very dishonest, especially to a co-worker

I honestly think of it as saving the car from a fool... sounds mean, but it's obvious the car is in better hands...

Well it was sitting on a farm and he did purchase a mini van after the car started acting up he was about to junk it. Thats when I came to save the car and the reason why we agreed on $150 is because thats how much the junkyard was going to give him.

Anyway Primered the rear of the car got rid of those huge sunspots and previous had carved his name in the car with a key for what ever reason.

He was happy to see it go I really don't see as that as ripping him off.

Anyway new pics of it with some primer also a friend re did the tan on the bottom and waxed the paint

Next is interior and to fix that crappy exhaust leak.
