Bosch 110 BOV or Bypass valve?!

i was looking at those bypass valves and i had a few questions if anyone knew anything about them.

WHen i was looking it didnt say Blow Off Valve. it said Bypass Valve..what i wanted to know is would these be smog legal?? they are a dull black..not shiny like a big HKS BOV. so visually it should pass smog right?

basically does anyone know about these?? are they better than that stock bypass valve. just wanted to know cuz im getting my turbo rebuilt by aaron and i want it to stay in good condition.

It's a bypass valve and yes it's smog legal....it can be used as a bov also....it's just a bigger and better stock bypass valve.

Yes they will pass smog, they are oem on porsches..I use one and it works fine

stock= bypass valve, aftermarket noise makers= blow off valve.

sweet. do they make the same type of noise when they "blow off"? or is it pretty much the same little flutter the oem ones make on the supra?

i had one worked fine for what i wanted it for, looked stock

my old stock one would flutter so i picked this up from someone on the forums here

the only thing is this one would make a hoot noise when not really boosting like going up a hill while like building 1psi but when getting on it with like 8psi+ or so it would stay closed (i think the hoot noise was only the 103 i want to say but im not sure) and it sounded good for a stock like replacement

They are very quiet...about as much sound as the stocker makes.

that one i had (in the picture) sounded pretty nice for what it was and while being recirculated, it wasn't quiet but it was no hks/greddy and such
