dude wtf how did you know? you musta cheated.

I knew that, but only because I am in the military and once had a discussion about different names people have for items. One girl was from Montana and mentioned bubbler. I believe the conversation started with the difference between someone asking for a "soda" a "pop" or a "coke". It drives me insane when someone asks if you want a coke, and you reply that you would like one, and they ask "what kind"? A Coca-Freakin'-Cola, THAT'S what kind. You offered it, dumbass!

You guys should see how much of a difference is going from WI to IL... we actually use our turn signals.. and we don't drive 20-30mph over the speed limit ( seriously the cops dont even seem to care ). I picked up an 84 Supra in mid IL and drove it home at about 90-100mph the whole way back through IL and I got passed by tons of people driving SUV's and BMW's... EVEN A COP!

But yeah, it's soda :) Only old people or out of staters say pop in WI.

But the most fucked up thing is the canadians, it's pernounced ERB! not HERB you crazy bastards ! ( Espeicially Jeff Lange )!

a bubbler is a device to smoke pot out of >_>

and a boot is a trunk, but we all know the REAL name is trunk because boots are what you wear on your feet.

We have an unfair advantage over here - most of the manuals we use to work on our cars were written in Europe - all the Haynes manuals that I am aware of, and they call things by funny names, so you have to learn all the odd bits just to be able to understand the manuals! Spanners, boot, bonnet, petrol, and so on.

For something really challenging, skip the car talk and go right into the odd Aussie talk... like wtf is chunder? (I'm sure my spelling is atrocious...)

Why does everybody call it a trunk on our car? Hatchbacks do not have trunks. A trunk is an enclosed area separate from the cabin used to store cargo. Our storage area is hardly separate from the cabin. On the early cars a trunk was actually a large wooden box with handles and a lock and could be removed from the vehicle, it was usually located at the rear of the car, and the name stuck. You ever seen a magicians trunk, there you go. That is where it started and why it is called a trunk. All cars have trunks unless they are hatchbacks or station wagons. Therefore our cars do not have trunks.

So, does anybody have a coke, I'm thirsty. :p
