So i just installed my turbo after sending it back under warranty for a smoking problem, and I decided to install a MBC at the same time. Now when the turbo first spools up it spikes to about 14 psi then drops down to 10. this all happens fairly quickly and around 3500 rpm just as im reaching max boost. I have a feeling its my MBC, is this normal?

Normal for a lesser quality MBC, not normal for anything else. What unit are you running? Could also be a boost leak, would have to know more about your setup.
Its a kinetic motorsport mbc. Made by a local high performace/ tuning shop. I've got a 60-1 trim ct 26, 2.5 hardpipes with good connectors and t-bolt clamps, full 3" straight thru exhaust. and then a bunch of other fuel mods. I think its the mbc, as it just happened after i installed it. Any fix for the spike?
Buy an EBC, or at least a better MBC. The older Profec B's are pretty cheap on eBay, $150ish last I looked.
hmm so thats my only way around this problem? well i'll start looking into EBC's than and see what i come up with.
