boost question

I have a HKS air filter and a 3in exhaust with no cat with the stock fuel pump. My question is, how high can the boost be turned up safely? i do have a metal headgasket also. Any thoughts? i would like to turn the boost up a little but still want to be safe about it.

well, i think you have the wrong idea, If you have the stock ct 26 12lbs.. If you have an after market turbo, you can turn it as high as you wan't (AS LONG AS you have safe and sound air fuel mixture) but by the time you start making real power other things go out like clutch, Rings, etc.

You can go to 14 with the stock ct. Just go to below fuel cut and dont get a fcd.

that is what i was hoping to hear. So, 12-14psi on the stock turbo, stock injectors, and stock fuel pump right?

Ya. You will hit fuel cut before anything bad happens. Well mostly. But you wont melt a piston from running lean.
