Hello,
I have my 92 2.5 tt rhd I was going to put in a manual boost controller.. its all stock right now.. I was just wondering a few things..
I know the controller has to go off the waste gate vacuum line how do I find that line??? does it come up by the engine somewere?? or do I have to go down there to find it?? is there 2 wastegates that i have to hook up 2?? my service manual software at work just shows one waste gate??
also On my car my gauge reads not in psi but 6x100 mm/hg or something like that.. what is that??
what boost does factory turbos put out stock for the 2.5??
thank you for your hlep again its appreciated

That's 600mm of mercury. It converts to about 10psi, which is stock boost.

Theer are two wastegates you need to connect to. If you look at the turbos, you will see a small vacuum line going from the compressor housing, to a big cylindrical looking thing witha rod coming out of it (the wastegate actuator). You will need to take both compressor housing lines, tee them together, feed them into the boost controller, then take teh two wastegate actuator lines, tee them together, and feed them into the output of the boost controller.

I would suggest you get a better boost gauge, intake, and exhaust first though. Especially up in Canada with the colder air, if you free up the intake and exhaust, you'll likely boost creep up to 12-14psi anyways, expecially if you install a better y-pipe in the exhaust.

I can't think of a place off the top of my head. I KNOW there's a company who makes them , but I don't have the link.

I had a generic ebay RHD pillar pod in mine for a year or so. I sold it though.

The piece around the handle is stock. I drilled a hole in the top of the gauge pod, and installed the handle's mounting screw into it.

As for the car, I had a friend that used to do a fair bit of dealings with bringing over private sale cars from Japan. I got him to bring the car over for me a while back. You know, before everyone started doing it. Now I just look like another tool in a RHD car ;)

autometer makes a nice rhd supra pillar. That's what i got in mine and it fits great. You can almost get away with just a friction fit it you wanted. don't know the part number right now but i'm sure you could find it on there web site.
