Boost Leak and Turbo Question

So i thought i fixed all my boost leaks, but Figgie believes something is wrong so im def. looking into it. The car is all stock save for bolt on and its running a 20G turbo (the actuator is adjusted so i dont boost 14psi so the flapper door is open slightly if that affects anything) the best i can get even out of boost is 12.4mpg. Now ive checked all my upper IC piping, the lower IC pipe is a hardpipe from speed source. I bought a new check valve for the ISC so i fixed that boost leak. Where else could i be leaking boost from? The only hose i havent checked is the the hose coming off the IC going to the plastic IC piece going to the upper IC piping. Reason being is, its a PITA to get to, so ive been putting it off.

Any input would be great, i am planning to make the DIY boost leak tested this coming weekend to check to see if i have any leaks. Im hoping to find out why the hell my milage is so terriable, and why the turbo is spooling so freaking slow (Figgie explained to me that it should be spooling faster, even if i am Auto).

P.S. No codes. Timing is set to 10' BTDC, I also purchased a Universal T3 Acutator witha 7psi spring, i was wondering if this might help cure the spooling issue.

Remember me? I'm running that turbo.

It's hard to tell from your vids; but, mine comes on at around 3k. Yours does seem a little slow; but, I think that's par for that boost level with that turbo.

Mine boosts faster at higher boost levels.

Definitely do the DIY boost leak tester thing. My buddy had a huge split in the plastic IC section that's in the fender.

Ok so im doing my Boost Leak Test tommorow if it doesnt rain. I took two more videos tonight. I rechecked all my IC clamps i could get to. Say i do my test tommorow, and there are no leaks, what else could be attributing to the problems.

Video 1 shows the turbo lag i have and how bad it is.

The pulls in your second vids seem normal to me.

My buddy's 7mgte is stock except for intake and exhaust and yours seems to boost about like his does.

The 20G is a bit more laggy than the stock CT.

I figured as much i have a T3 Actuator with a 7psi spring but its universal so ill have to make it fit. Anyone know how i should go about this? The acutator rod arm needs to be extended a bit and the rod arm needs to be bent to match the 20G's acuator.

Hmm you may be right ill look into it some more i still need to do my boost leak test 12.4mpg is getting old now.


If anyone has any info/tips about what i should do about the wastegate please let me know or PM i want to get my boost issue solved.
