i recommend an SAFC

especially if you are planning to up the boost so you can tune it as well.

i'm on 440's with a 60-1 and i'm at -8% across the board on my SAFC and im hitting fuel cut at 16psi. so im maxing out my injectors already!

im happy cause its making awesome power, but mad because i've only had the 440's for a month and i already have to upgrade to 550's LOL

SAFC is good for tuning to around 550hp, but its not a boost cut device.

Any flavor boost cut hardware works ok. I'd honstely just reccomend a aftermarket reflashed ECU like a blitz, sard, etc with fuel, boost, speed cuts removed, as well as higher redline.

A SAFC wont get rid of boost cut, I'm with Ric get an ecu before standalone I ran a Mines ecu worked great

well i know that SAFC wont take out boost cuts. but i was just looking for something kind of cheap... just something to raise my boost cut a little bit more...

so a greddy boost cut controller would work? if so cool... and where though could i get a reflash ecu from???and whats the cost??

cheap and fast do not work. if you are hitting cut you need more fuel and better type of management system (safc is pretty useless isnt it?)

SAFC works good on top of my SARD ecu with 550's. Really good actually.

Cheap and Fast usually = you're not fast and it costed you twice as much in the long run to do it right. I wouldn't reccomend a stand alone ECU for a daily driver, find yourself a reflashed ECU and use a MAP-ECU 2 piggyback. That setup is good for 1000whp electronics wise.

Re-flashed ECU's run around $500 average.

boost cut is a good thing.. when you hit it you're out of fuel. So just get a tuning device and tune your car out. Once you hit fuel cut, upgrade your fuel system

You can have 1000cc fuel injectors on stock twins and still hit fuel cut on a stock ECU at exactly 1 bar. :3d_frown:

if you tune it with 1000cc injectors it will never hit fuel cut

If this system is like the MKIVs boost cut system, they you will need a BCC (reccomend the MR2 one as you can tune when it kicks in).

will probably be getting rid of them fairly soon for some 550's.

and when i said SAFC i meant exactly what Justin is saying......if you tune the car you can raise the fuel cut. never had any fuel cut issues with my 60-1 7M supra, and with stock twins and stock 1J ecu i was getting fuel cut at 14psi. all i did was hook up a EMB and E-01 and tuned it a bit and fuel cut was now 18psi. then i sold my EMB and E-01 and now i have the Aristo ECU and SAFC and 440's, fuel cut was hitting at 13 psi. i tuned it a bit now fuel cut was raised to 16 psi which is where my 440's are maxing out.

so to say that an SAFC is useless as a boost cut controller is retarded. boost cut being removed completely is a dumb idea as well. i'd prefer to hit it so i don't kill my motor.

ok i read something on SM, that you could swap out the map sensor to raise up your fuel/boost cut. and if so what map sensor should i use, or is it even recommender, again im on a stock ecu, with a neo, walbro 255lph, stock injectors, and im running 13 psi right now. just want to raise it up to exactly 15psi. also do i hit fuel cut first or boost cut??? just confused right now just dont know if im hitting boost cut or fuel cut?? thanks again...
