bodykit installation

i know my car will need to be painted pretty soon, but untill i find a garage i can keep it in for a while i just as soon put off the paint. this will also be put off untill i get the bodykit pieces i want. just little things like a lip and sideskirts, and rears. my question for you guys that have done this thing before, is can i paint the sideskirts off the car and then install them? or do theyneed to be molded to the rocker panels? same for the rear mudflap replacement pieces. yes i know the pieces wont have the exact same color, but it will be better than two totally different colors

So you want to paint the pieces and then install them, and put off the entire paintjob for now? Or do you want to paint them and install them, and then paint the car soon after?

I think you should acquire all of the miscellanous parts you say you want to get and give it to the shop to put on when you go to get it painted. If you want to put them on yourself and you know how to do a good job then I think you should do it at home close to when you are going to paint the car.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your timeline properly but I responded to what I think. Get the pieces, store them until you're ready to get the entire car painted.

well right now i want to get the parts on. and have them done right. i wanted to get them on there and painted. but im not ready to have the whole car painted yet.

so i was seeing if there was a way to install them without having to have the whole car painted

i just got through installing my bomex bodykit about 2 weeks ago.it will be going to the body shop in about another month to have it molded in and then painted.so in short yes you can put it on without painting the whole car.
