My supra has a nice sized dent in the passanger side rear quarter from the door to the tail light but it some how(beyond me) missed the gas tank filler completely. I was planning on using a slide hammer and screws to attempt to pull it out. I was thinking about drilling the spot welds and just replacing the whole panel its self. If any one has any tips or ideas or better ways to get a dent out of the rear quarter PLEASE let me know. Thanks

have you gotten a professional estimate yet? I'd gut the interior and push as much out from the inside as you can, before you slide hammer it.

Its nice to see there are a few other supra guys here in NM. As for beating it out from the inside i didn't see any way to do that. it was gutted in the rearend when i got it and the inner frame work is in the way of getting anything in there. thanks for all the ideas so far keep um comin i still have no idea what im doing lol.

if the gas filler cap is untouched, then chances are the previous owner replaced that part since it was the easiest...

valuable lesson learned today, dont use self taping bolts and a slide hammer, and also dont try to pull the dent out of a panel that isn't going to straighten out just cut it out and weld a new one in. does anyone know if the rear quarter comes off by the side or if both sides are one piece im going to have to replace the rear quarter.
^^ this is correct. you have to cut the panel off and find a dent free one to weld back in place..

the slide hammer will work great. i have used it several times to fix nice sized dents and creases. use a good course screw thread and when you pull the dent work across the dent gradually that way it comes out half way even.... and when you've gotten out as much of the dent as possible use a "dolly" or solid block of some kind and place it behind the area where possible and use a body hammer to flatten out the high spots. then if i were you i would use a good quality fiberglass filler "bondo glass" to level it all out and then use something like "rage extreme gold" super light weight body filler to put a final skim coat on it. that ensures there arent any pinholes in it. the block sand using a good block.... then prime and inspect if need be block sand more... and repeat until you get the look you want... i will be also doing a big dent repair on my drivers side quarter and on my hood maybe when i do mine i will do a write up.. i've done this for a while now so i think this is the best way and less exspensive than welding. lmk if this helped.
Subscribed. I'm in the same boat. The car was absolutely railed by a dodge truck with a brush guard before I bought it. My damage is in the same place, on the driver side. So far I have beat the living tar out of it from inside, as well as removed any bondo from the damaged area, then covered it with black paint (matches the car) to prevent any rust from forming before I can truly fix it.
