BMC Brace

iirc projectsupra had made some brake master cylinder braces a while back.
did/does anyone else make them? i was thinking of making my own but i would really like some pictures to see the basic design.

I thought it was Idealsupra, but I could be wrong.

It was projectsupra. Ideal hasnt fabbed any parts.

BTB: It stops the firewall flexing when you push on the brake pedal!
(Get a bud to mash the pedal and watch you'll be surprised how much it moves)

oh well. i got my Chassis Shop catalog in the mail today and i think i will be making my own out of some chromoly and spherical rod bushings

I have one of project supras. It's a nice piece -- but it did require minor notching to clear my strut tower bar. Before installing it I could see the master cylinder flex noticably when I had a friend hammer on the pedals. With the brace installed, I could barely see the cylinder move -- but sadly I did not notice a difference in pedal feel.

Jeff: Usually by the time you flex the firewall the brakes would be well and truely locked flat spotting all 4 tires!

lol, projectsupra. that's what i was gonna say also, but was wondering about the instant price increase a bit more and guess i forgot to mention that the cusco was indeed designed for the RHD only.

blast... make another set projectsupra!!

Thanks to those who complimented my brace, glad you like it. As for the Cusco unit, it is for the RHD A70 only and the one pictured isn't even the correct brace.

Yep RHD only, and the one pictured is for a nissan.
Sorry, it's hard to find pics for JDM RHD parts when you aren't a CUSCO dealer.
I also don't own a cam to go take a picture of mine.
But I'm RHD anyway, so that would be a waste of time.
