This isnt Justin but a his buddy on his sn since for some odd reason sm wont let me register.. might be my comp.
Anyways I got on the interstate the other day and got up to cruisin speeds near 80 mph. I started to smell oil burning and I slowed down a tad then it got stronger and I pulled over. I popped the hood and noticed a very small fire that I quickly put out with my drink. It didnt burn any wires or anything so I got a ride home and had the car towed back home.
Later that evening I checked the oil added some and tried to crank it over. It would just turn and turn and turn over. So I call Justin and he thinks it could be bad cps. So he lends me his that looks almost new and I set the car up TDC and adjusted the CPS according to the tsrm. Nothing car does the samething. We thought it was 180* out and adjusted agian and still nothing. We hooked up a timing light to it and the first few turns of the motor its spark is on then it dies off and is inconsistent. Any ideas? Thanks

maybe she was on the way out for it to suddenly dump a heap of oil out the cps, could suggest its pumping lots of compresson into the sump????

does it seem to turn over faster then normal on the starter?

I come from a land down under
Justin's Bud:I think what Allan is hinting at is maybe the motor was breathing heavy for it to puke oil past the CPS Seal so might have Fouled all of the plugs. (lots of blowby will make it through the PCV system and into the intake tract)

Pop em out and have a look.
