whats up guys, i keep blowing this fuse in my kick panel. it was a 15 i tried a 30 and it still blew. im guessing theres a short somewhere....any ideas?

The rest is trial and error. What did you do last? What causes it to pop?

jdub;1277752 said:That is probably from using a 40A fuse in a 15A circuit. To be honest, that was friggin stupid. :3d_frown:
Now, you get to replace that entire wire.

The beauty about this is most wires are green, white/green stripe and green/white stripe. You are going to pay dearly for this one...you are very lucky you didn't start a fire.
The 1st thing you have to do is replace that wire and don't ghetto rig it. Have fun
BTW - JJ's comment can be interpreted as "the stupidity never ends". It never ceases to amaze me me either.

Taping the frayed part is not going to do any good at this point, you've burned the insulation off along the rest of the wire and you may have damaged other wires in the harness. If it touches a ground point, it will happen again or if another wire is damaged, it could happen to a different circuit. I suggest you take my advice...don't do a ghetto rig with tape.
